Review no 3 AMART IS NOT KMART
This is what I sent to the customer service manager on March 10, along with three additional follow-up requests for a response.
Dear Robyn
ISSUE
1 The product is flimsy and made in China. I was under the impression it was made in Australia.
2 Assembly instructions had to be searched. Then taken to be printed. Assembly indication was 2 x people 1 hour. It took 2 x people 2.5 hours to complete the cabinet structure. Then a further 1 x 2 hours for one person to co9mplete draw assembly. This included experimenting with draw ‘spring mechanism’ as draws would not close unless the magnet was adjusted. A lot of experimentation NOT in the instructions.
3 IF all the joins and screws were not further Super Glued, it would be a house of cards. 2 x trips to Bunnings to purchase more glue. I could never have assembled it on my own, and had I known the complexity, would never have purchased it. I paid $100 for initial assembly help and another to complete = $200
4 The product arrived damaged on the top left-hand corner (photo) and would be very easily damaged or stained (as advised in the instructions) if not isolated, i.e., kept safe and out of traffic, as it is made of a soft particle board, not timber. Discovere when opening (photo) and trying not to damage further when assembling.
In summary, it is vastly overpriced for the $438.00.
Now that I have assembled it, can I return it? If not, I'd like to pay half the purchase price and resell it for $250?
Cost $438 + $200 assembly + $14.40 for super glue.
This is a VERY inferior product.
I did not keep the packaging.
