I purchased and installed an Ambient Weather station WS5000 in December, 2022. Two weeks ago it stopped reporting outside temperature or solar radiation (W/M2) values. I contacted tech support (Matt Murphy, ticket #234925). Following the reset instructions that he provided failed to solve the problem, Matt advised I just buy a new sensor array because the old one is unrepairable.That is pretty much replacing the entire weather station. Turns out the negative reviews I read were correct – they don’t last and are unrepairable. I gambled on this product and lost. $450 is too much to spend on a weather station with a one year warranty that only lasts a couple of years.
