It's truly disheartening to witness some customers exhibiting racist and targeted behavior towards staff. I encountered this directly while working. A customer repeatedly sat in my section and falsely accused me of not greeting her for 30 minutes, which was simply untrue. She consistently complained to my manager, labeling me as “not a good server” and emphasizing her experience in the hospitality industry, claiming she “knows how things should be done.” What made this situation even more unsettling was her clear focus on me. We are required to document service details, and after seeing me serve elsewhere, she actually chased me down to hand me an ice pack—despite other servers being available and not occupied. There was no reason for her to approach me specifically. Her actions felt obsessive, targeted, and inappropriate. For context, I am a person of color. The way she fixated on me, voiced complaints, and followed me felt racially charged and deeply uncomfortable. If she truly understands the concept of “reality,” as she claimed, then she should also recognize that harassing service workers based on false accusations is unacceptable. I hope she reads this review and reflects on her actions. Her behavior is shameful.
