I applied to a promotion for an American Express credit card with a frequent flyer mile extra bonus mileage offer and did not receive it. American Express is claiming that I applied to a different offer but its Executive Office would not provide proof of it after I wrote it a complaint and the Executive Office rep even admitted that the offer I stated that I applied to was still a valid offer and that there was the possibility that I hit a 'backpage' arrow key on my computer or smart phone which could have brought me to a previous page which would have null and voided the promotion and if continued placed me into a new promotion without advising me that I am now continuing the application under a new promotion. Sounds very unethical and questionable as it relates to the legality of such practices.
