One star richly deserved. Amex seems no longer to care about their reputation and procedures. Laughable 4 hour long waste of time exercise today and yesterday where they demanded I upload my drivers licence because I have been a customer for a long time (15 years) and my ID needs revalidating. Fine if the law requires that. But then their form to upload the licence demands a drivers licence number (which contains letters and numbers) and no matter what is entered it comes up with this error message saying the form cannot be submitted because the field requires both letters and numbers. Go figure. If their coders cannot get this right am I sure my money is safe. Then you can't log in because this document is missing. Then have a 2 hour long messaging chat about it. Then call and get put through to three people in a sequence (after being cut off the first time). The first person says it is a known problem which they are going to fix. The fix is to pass you through to someone else and then to a third person who then says they are not fixing the problem. What a complete mess of a company - and a company which once had a stellar reputation. God help us all.
