Last year my home was insured by AMI at $800K This year its gone up to $930K! ( Its a 120 year old house...)I spent a week trying to get my house insurance at an agreed value, not the overinflated value they placed on it, as I am able partially self insure The agreed insured value I asked for was $130 K less than the value they put on it, but the premium was going to be the same!??? That is just not honest. Anyway they would not give me an actual cost for my house, so I have gone elsewhere. If the Christchurch earthquake experience is anything to go by, no one in their right mind would have anything to do with this deceitful, lying and disreputable company. Every email respeonse was from a different person, so no I don't trust having to make a claim with this company in the future.
