***DON'T ORDER IF YOU'RE FROM CANADA***

***BUYERS BEWARE***Originally got the kit for myself and my wife - both kits were activated at round July 22 and sent the packages over to the lab. One noticeable thing is that the shipment is an AIR MAIL package to Ireland with no tracking component, so you have no idea if your samples were received by the company until they send you the confirmation receipt email. My wife received this email, and was eventually able to get her samples analyzed in less than a month. On the other hand, I never received the 'sample received' email. I initially contacted Ancestry support and asked how my wife's kit was received and mine was not, when they were sent at the same time -- they just said 'it just happens sometimes' and how I needed to wait around 2 more weeks. So I waited 2 weeks (now just wanting to get a refund), and reached out to Ancestry support again, and a different support person (this woman named 'Maria Rose') told me that I actually need to wait 30 BUSINESS DAYS from shipment date before I can request for refund; I asked where I can find such policy on their website and she just said it's not public (???) and it's on their internal policy documents only. At this time, it had 'only' been 20 BUSINESS DAYS so I decided to wait additional 10 BUSINESS DAYS before I reach out to support again. 30 BUSINESS DAYS finally went past, and lo and behold, I still haven't received my 'sample kit received' email. When I reached out to Ancestry support again, the support person (different person named 'Yana') proceeded to tell me I actually have to contact Amazon instead to process my refund. But guess what? My Amazon order happened 2 months ago, and now it's too late to process the refund on the Amazon side, and the Amazon support is saying this is an issue from Ancestry, not from Amazon. I mentioned that I purchased the kit from Amazon in ALL 3 SUPPORT CHATS and only the last support person told me that I actually have to contact Amazon to process my refund. Only if the first support person told me that I had to contact Amazon, my headache + $$ lost + and MUCH time wasted could have been avoided. To add salt to the wound, the 3rd support person (Yana) had the audacity to ask me if I am interested in purchasing their membership for 25% off for 'all the inconvenience' I had experienced. Then I told her that 'I am absolutely not interested, and if anything, this should be offered to me FOR FREE for all the inconvenience / time wasted'. Then she finally offered me a free membership VALID FOR ONE MONTH. What an absolute joke!!!This is in addition to the ridiculous wait time (10-30 minutes) I constantly experience, anytime I want to do a live chat with a support person from Ancestry. Completely ridiculous experience for a 'high-end' product that charges $200+ for a kit. 23andme, for example, can easily issue you a direct refund even for an Amazon purchase, as long as you provide them with the Amazon invoice / proof of purchase. Ancestry on the other hand CANNOT issue you a refund if you did not purchase a kit directly from them.I definitely got scammed $200+DO NOT ORDER IF YOU ARE FROM CANADADO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT FROM AMAZONDO NOT ORDER IN GENERALI have support chat transcripts saved to prove my case
