Took my cat into the Barnsley branch a fortnight ago. Waited for 40 minutes past his appointment time. He had an eye infection and was given antibiotic drops for it after finally seeing the vet. 10 days later and the drops had not cleared it up, indeed it had visibly worsened. Called Barnsley at 8:30am for a same day appointment. They couldn't find his drops on the system but booked an appointment for 17:40pm that day. I took time off work and drove from home in Doncaster to the clinic. Arrived to book in, there was no appointment on the system nor were there any available. Incredibly rude receptionist with "Moonbeam" tattooed on her arm just shrugged and asked me what I expected them to do while labelling other patients medication. The vet came out and stated that she was just there to do admin, despite then calling another patient in. I asked for more eye drops, was told that my cat couldn't have them without seeing the vet first. I was told to try Dewsbury branch in the morning. I explained that I was working and had already taken time off that day on the expectation of an appointment with their branch, I wasn't happy to do the same with yet another branch, not to mention the fuel costs in getting there. I begged them to see my sick cat. Told them I was willing to wait however long it took. Zero empathy. Absolutely zero. Was then told that if I'm not happy with it I can go through the complaints procedure but the clinic manager wouldn't be in until Monday and this was Friday. I was made to feel like I was being unreasonable for worrying about a very sick pet. UTTERLY DISGUSTING. Please do not take your animals to any branch of this organisation. I only wish that I could give them zero stars.
