I moved to Wallasey from Liverpool just over a year ago. I decided against taking on another rescue dog after my last one died-feeling i did not have the funds for vets fees. However, a basset hound came my way-needing my help! Thanks to the Animal Trust's low costs i have been able to adopt him and to pay his medical bills. He has improved my life no end and got me walking out and about-so both of us have benefited.I know when i go that treatments are not being suggested 'to make money'.All the vets are skilled and patient. i like the way i can book which vet i want on line-and this system is easy to use. It is easy for me to get to by bus, and right next door to Birkenhead Park, so i can walk him there after our visits.I don't think it is anything the Animal Trust can change, but my one 'quibble' might be that it is difficult to get an emergency appointment. Whilst waiting there once i overheard a distressed woman come in and ask for an emergency appointment 'to get a "2nd opinion' for her dog. This was obviously a last resort for her and she was trying to do the best she could for her pet. Unfortunately, Animal Trust did not have an appointment free for several days.I appreciate how busy the clinic is-but this was rather sad.
