Horrific advice - Animal Trust Failsworth

My cat went missing over night, and I found him the following day. He was laying with his eyes closing, in a lot of pain… obvious he had been hit by a car. Animal trust was the nearest emergency vet I could find online so I just drove straight there. I was told a vet couldn’t see my cat because they aren’t taking any new patients on, however the vet nurse said she would have a look. She told me he seemed fine and cats “are quite dramatic” that didn’t sit well with me so I took him to Vetsnow hospital Manchester. He had a fractured elbow which had broken into three places… he’s had to have it amputated. He was in the vets for two nights so he could be on basically methadone to help the pain.I hate to think what would have happened if I had just taken the advice and left him over night!
