Coming to Animas as a former solicitor and someone who had lived through my own major life transition, I wasn't looking for a qualification — I was looking for a genuine transformation in how I understood and served others. I found both.
The ADTC is a rich, psychologically-grounded programme that takes you through identity, values, beliefs and narrative in a way that builds slowly and then — for me, honestly, in that final module — suddenly crystallises into a coherent whole. If I could offer one reflection to prospective students: trust the process even when it feels incomplete. The pieces are gathering even when you can't yet see how they fit.
What surprised me most was the breadth of the Animas family beyond the cohort itself. Some of the people I have met through Animas have become genuinely meaningful relationships. Add to that the extracurricular sessions and the impressive depth of post-diploma support and resources, and it's clear that Animas sees qualification as a beginning, not an endpoint.
I came in as someone who had spent 25 years in law and finance. Animas met me where I was and helped me find a completely different way of being with people — one rooted in curiosity, presence and real depth. I now run a coaching practice specialising in supporting women through major life transitions, and the psychological foundations Animas provided are at the heart of everything I do with clients.
For anyone considering a career pivot into coaching, particularly if you bring professional experience and want to work at a transformative level, I can't recommend this programme highly enough.
I researched coaching courses for several months. Why did I choose Animas? 1. The coaching approach resonated with me and aligned with my personal values. 2. I booked on a discovery call and met Marta (course facilitator). She was amazing so when I booked on the course, I chose dates when she was available. 3. The wrap around offer. My experience on the course was hugely positive - skilled facilitation, excellent course materials, good level of rigour, excellent learning spaces and additional opportunities. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the course.
There are two main things I truly appreciated about this experience.1) The organization.Everything was clear, structured, and on time. The support was always there when needed, and all the inevitable admin work — registration, payments, communication — felt smooth and effortless. It allowed me to focus fully on learning instead of logistics.2) The course itself. Our teaching coach Bronwyn created a space that felt both professional and genuinely human. The content was rich and clear, the structure balanced — with lots of practice and just the right amount of theory. And the group… incredibly warm, supportive, and empowering. I felt encouraged not only to learn, but to grow.Overall, it wasn’t just a course — it was a transformative and very grounding experience for me.
Animas provided a seamless and supportive experience throughout the training period, and beyond. All tutors and supervisors I encountered were highly knowledgeable, and generous with their experience and expertise. The animas campus was a really helpful resource, and knowing you have ongoing support post-qualification is priceless.

The only real value that I saw for myself was the network, my peers were fantastic. So first of all, a large share of Live time went go to open check-ins and broad discussion rather than getting structured and deep learning. For some that might be a good thing, people love interactive environments and stuff, I just was looking for something different.I’d price the program at $1.5–2k max. As a preparation for practice, it gave me maybe 5% of what I actually need (p.s I stepped away and didn't proceed to get the certificate, if you really need a ICF Certification that might be your choice). You'll definitely need to go through additional trainings after the course to become a successful and well-skilled coach. If you are like me and already know something about coaching/ psychology, I’d recommend choosing a method you're attracted to and studying it with its originators/practitioners, or pursuing counselling/psychology training.
I did quite a bit of research before landing on ANIMAS for my coaching training, and I’m beyond grateful that I decided to go with them. Honestly, it was life changing on many levels. From my first intro call to the last day with my co-hort (who I’m still connected with), the journey has been so enriching. I’ve learned so much, I’ve unlearned so much, and I’ve made lifelong friends. The skills I now how have are put to use every day, whether I’m ‘coaching’ or not. The team of teachers are exceptional and the online community is packed full of resources and support. This is an incredible platform to jump off if you are passionate about people or just want to live a conscious and impactful life. Highly highly recommend.
