Just want to make people aware of this loan scam with An Post/Avant money. I applied as they boast of the lowest APR rate on the market. It said 6.9% and after a fair bit of navigating the application I was delighted to be approved. I clicked on the link to sign for my loan of €25,000 and noticed an obscure mention that the APR was now in fact 16.9%. It meant paying back an extra €12,000 over the 5 years of the loan. Be careful folks as I imagine many get caught out with this. When I rang they couldn't give me a straight answer as to why it jumped up so high. Note I have a perfect credit rating. This should be illegal and is basically a scam.
