For the past month An Post’s service has been terrible. Six of my parcels have been delayed, with four that were supposedly “out for delivery” yesterday never arriving and still not delivered today. Customer service keeps giving me the same repeated excuse about a “backlog” clearly nobody is fixing since it’s been a month and it’s still there. The app and tracking are just as unreliable, I still have parcels marked “out for delivery” that were delivered four months ago. I even received an email claiming a delivery attempt was made which customer service later confirmed it wasn’t. They refuse to let customers collect parcels directly from the depot even when it’s clear the deliveries aren’t happening which is just appalling because I imagine this would be an easy way to alleviate a backlog but clearly solutions isn’t what An Post wants.At this point, I’d rather pick my parcels up myself than deal with the constant delays and excuses. Terrified to think how much worse it’s going to be like now coming up to Christmas. Why is it that Amazon and DPD can somehow deliver on time while An Post has already made me wait 6 days for a package going from one Dublin address to another Dublin address? Postage isn’t free. Have you forgotten you are being paid to complete a service? Do your jobs properly!!!!
