Our car engine broke in France.We were assisted by a rude ANWB partner who took us to a ghost town with no open hotel, cafe, restaurant, etc. Nothing and nobody.We were left with all our luggage (full car) on the sidewalk.After hours of failed attempts to find a way out of there, we manage to convince a taxi from another city to pick us up.2 days later, we had to travel 200km to pick up a replacement car in a high risk Corona area. And I guess we were lucky because at first ANWB didn't want to provide a car. Back in the Netherlands, ANWB denied paying for all taxi costs, refunding a max of 150€. Adding to this, we must make proof that car has been fixed within 3 months (in the thousands of euros). Otherwise we will be charged the transport costs.Great service!!
