There are several components to Anxiety Wave that I found very helpful. First, Jort is very relatable. It was meaningful that he had dealt with anxiety and openly shared his experiences. When Jort talked about "fear of fear," I knew he understood me, and he had credibility in my eyes. Second, dissecting the anxiety loop helped me to understand what goes on in my body and brain. Anxiety can be so overwhelming that there is nothing to focus on but the fear itself. Now that I understand what's going on, I have distance from the anxiety and can apply the five steps. Also, I'm really keyed into the fact that the catastrophe never happens. And if it does, so what? It's not the end of the world. The other thing I appreciate is how encouraging, authentic, and positive Jort is. It was a pleasure spending time with him.
