Unfortunately, due to the devastation Hurricane Melissa left on Jamaica, I had to cancel my vacation. My all-inclusive stay at the Hyatt Rose Hall was booked through my travel agent using Apple Vacations. Hyatt offered full refunds to guests because the resort will not be able to receive visitors until 2026.When my travel agent first contacted Apple Vacations about canceling, they stated there would be a $50 per-person deduction. After further inquiries, Apple Vacations finally agreed to refund the full amount. However, the catch was that it would take up to 30 days to process.Throughout the entire process, Apple Vacations refused to communicate with me directly, insisting that all questions—even simple ones—go through my travel agent. Today marks the 30-day mark, and I still have not received my refund. This experience has been incredibly frustrating. In a situation caused by a natural disaster, consumers should not have to chase down information or wait indefinitely for money owed to them. I expected far better service, transparency, and responsiveness from Apple Vacations.
