Before ApplyPass, I had been job searching for 4 months without landing any interviews. Then David from ApplyPass helped me rewrite my resume. His advice was very sound, and it inspired me to sign up for ApplyPass Premium 3-months subscription.With ApplyPass sending out my resumes, I landed my first recruiter call after 140 applications in less than a week. Then I went through 3 rounds of interviews, including my first-ever live coding challenge. While I wasn’t selected by that first company, I gained valuable interview experience.I then had a few more recruiter screens; one of them resulted in three more interviews, including live coding and my first system design interview. Although I wasn’t chosen, the feedback was positive, especially on the behavioral and system design parts.Just as I wrapped up my interviews with that company, I got my first interview with a new company. They were impressed by my GitHub and didn’t require any further evidence of my ability to write code. After a smooth three-interview process, I was invited for an on-site interview at their expense, which felt more like an onboarding session. Despite a great experience there, I didn’t hear back immediately. ApplyPass continued to send out dozens of job applications on my behalf every day. It would take me 1-2 hours a day just to get through the emails I received in response to the applications and complete any actions: fill out a form, do a test, etc. I noticed that when I stayed up-to-date with these emails, I was getting recruiter screens and some interviews.Soon, I had another recruiter screen that led to an interview with five people, covering everything from React and JS concepts to live coding. Less than 24 hours later, I received my first offer!With this offer in hand, I let the company from the on-site interview know about it, and they scheduled a meeting right away. They made me an offer, along with a personalized 90-day onboarding plan. This was the second offer, and the one I ultimately accepted.Numbers After 3 Months- 4446 applications sent by ApplyPass (but only 140 to land the first interview)- About two dozen recruiter screens- 6 companies where I did technical and behavioral interviews- 2 offersAnd a lot of work on my part too: keeping my GitHub up to date, solving JS problems daily, doing mock interviews (20 in total), reviewing theory, preparing for behavioral questions, completing coding assignments...I’m extremely thankful to David for helping me craft my resume and to ApplyPass for sifting through the haystack to find opportunities that matched my skills.Wishing everyone the best of luck with their job search!
