The past 18 months I have spent a good few thousand pounds stocking my fish room. The customer service is always good, the fish are of good quality and healthy, and they are delivered well. I believe, or get the feeling, they have a high turnover, which is why they can price them well.However, the reason I only give 4 stars is that I have had the same recurring problem with cross-contamination (bacteria or similar) with the same species of fish. Even though they have all come from the same seller/shop, each time I lose about 20% of the new order, and about 20% of the established same species fish.The first time it happened was when stocking a discus grow-out tank. I stocked it with about 10 fish a week, only to have their “new shipment” fish make my previous fish sick and go black, while all the other species in the same tank were fine. lost about 30%.It happened again with angelfish I bought over several months, they was all doing really well 18 of them, then added 5 more, only for all of them getting sick, for no apparent reason. lost all but 1. it has just done the same when mixing Corydoras catfish. I had 40 cheap reds fattening up over the past few months, doing really well. As soon as I put 15 different types of Corydoras in the same tank, within 24 hours they start dying of for no reason whatsoever, so i believe the fish of today are just to sterile, and cant cope with each others species bacteria. been keeping fish closes to 50 years now, Hench my fish room for breeding my own stock.
