We purchased a larder fridge and undercounter freezer from Argos. The fridge arrived as scheduled; however, the freezer did not. The driver called ahead then failed to appear, followed shortly by a text claiming our property was inaccessible — despite us being home and the road having never posed any issue for delivery vehicles.
We contacted Argos to rearrange, indicated we'd call back to confirm a date, and returned to find they'd already booked the earliest available slot, which didn't suit us. We were then told delivery couldn't be rebooked until that date had passed, leaving us no option but to cancel and reorder. We did so, and were assured our property would be flagged for van delivery.
On the rescheduled date I worked from home specifically to receive the delivery — only for it to be cancelled again on the same spurious grounds. We have since cancelled entirely and will be taking our business elsewhere.
