I spent over £800 at Arket online, choosing them specifically because I wanted my purchase to support my step-daughter’s school through Easyfundraising. Arket advertises a 2.5% donation for new customers, which applied to me. However, the donation never appeared. When Easyfundraising chased it up, Arket claimed I had used a voucher or discount code not listed on their site — which is simply untrue. I did not use any voucher code. I was a new customer making a straightforward purchase, and they refused to honour the donation. This feels dishonest and misleading. I deliberately chose Arket over other shops because of their advertised Easyfundraising donation, only to have them invent a reason not to pay. For a brand that claims to be transparent and community-focused, this kind of behaviour is unacceptable. I will not be shopping with Arket again and will report them to the relevant regulator.
