I regret buying this car. It looks good from the outside; however, that is the only positive. In December 2024, I decided to treat myself to a new car and looked into Arnold Clark as it was recommended by family.

I bought a 2021 vauxhaull corsa. Initially, it was a good car, but within 4 weeks (January 14th 2025) of buying it, I began experiencing issues with the car.

I was having to top up the oil every 1-2 weeks. I took it back to the garage (Morecambe Vauxhall garage), and they topped up the oil whilst the engine was still hot, causing it to be overfilled, and told me there was nothing wrong with it. I took the car back to the garage 2 weeks later and again they told me there was nothing wrong with it even though I had had to fill the oil up again within that timeframe.

On the 3rd of February, I began to hear a strange noise whilst driving the car and parked p to check under the car, when doing this, I noticed that the bellyplate of the vehicle was partly detached. I got it home, and a mechanic neighbour offered to have a look at it. It turns out that the belly plate has partially fallen off due to it being saturated in oil.

From this time to november of 2025 the car had been in the garage almost 20 times and at weeks at a time which resulted in me loosing money and loosing the time I had off work because I had to rely on others for transport anywhere as the garage also refused to let me have a courtesy car, as I was under 21 at the time.

I eventually got somewhere with the garage, where they told me that the sealant around the sump had become loose and it was leaking oil.

From November 2025 to today, I have been using a separate mechanic as I felt discarded at the Arnold Clark garage.

The independent mechanic explained to me that the PCV valve was faulty, and I needed a new one. When I explained this to Arnold Clark, they told me that they had never heard of a PCV valve and refused to look at the car.

I have not been back to the Arnold Clark garage since November and I feel like this car is a huge waste of my time and money. I have emailed the customer support team and they were no help.

I have now emailed the finance company because of the neglect I received at Arnold Clark.

I will not be recommending this place to anyone.
