I had an online chat with one of their representatives after receiving a demand for payment which included a fine of £30 for late payment. I was told by the gym on joining that the cancellation policy was different to the one Ashbourne were claiming I had signed up to. After (I presume) they had contacted the gym, they agreed that the account would be closed and I had nothing left to pay. A week later I get another demand for payment with an extra fine on top of the previous one. After contacting them again they confirmed it was a system error and my account was truly closed this time. We'll see if I get another email next week! The staff I spoke to were very helpful but it's not really acceptable to hound people with emails demanding money when you've already been told you don't have anything to pay. UPDATE: Ashbourne did contact me again and apologise for the error, to their credit.
