Where to start with this amazing trip. My husband and I have been planning our honeymoon with Elly for over 2 years. She was brilliant from the beginning: Taking the ideas we wanted to do and converting it into an amazing honeymoon. Unfortunately, we had to delay the honeymoon due to Covid but this wasn't an issue with Asia Pioneer. The final price was honoured and was moved to the next year with ease and no stress.I must admit I was initially a bit apprehensive of not using the widely known UK travel agencies. However, once working with Elly, I became more at ease and I knew that the details that were included in the trip and many destinations we wanted to see would have not been easily accommodated with other agencies.Payment was easy with multiple options on how to pay. Our honeymoon was a 3 week trip including the following places: Hanoi, Halong Bay, HoiAn, PhuQuoc Island, Ho Chi Min City, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. Just to summarise what Elly organised. All domestic flights, the international flight between Vietnam and Thailand, hotels, tour guides, transfers, activities and some meals. From the moment we were picked up from Hanoi Airport to being dropped at Phuket Airport; we didn't have to organise anything. We were given an extensive copy of our itinerary that we could follow throughout our trip.We were fortunate to meet Elly in Hanoi who welcomed us to Vietnam. She was available for all of the trip to answer any questions we had. She also gave us a list of all the tour guide numbers and emergency contacts in Bangkok so we were well equipped if we needed support. The hotels were all brilliant. We were given a selection from Elly and decided before we arrived. The majority of time the hotels were placed in a great location in each area (aside from PhuQuoc which was a resort so meant to be in a remote location). Our favourite was Lasenta Boutique Hotel in Hoi An with its views over looking the rice fields and its infinity pool. The Tour guides in each location were friendly and very knowledgeable. Aside from one day the rest of our tours were private which was a great experience as the tours were tailored to your interests. Eric (Hanoi), Billy (Hoi An), Ally (Bangkok) and Ank (Chiang Mai) were the tour guides we spent the most time with and they were fantastic at their jobs and ensured that we were enjoying ourselves the entire time. We had decided that as we were travelling a long distance to Thailand and Vietnam we wanted to make the most of our trip. Elly did not disappoint! I have listed a few of the many activities we did on our honeymoon. We visited multiple temples and historic monuments on detailed city tours, the train and floating market in Bangkok, Walking with elephants, Hot Air Balloon ride, the Vietamese War tunnels, Bana Hills, many boat trips on different vessels, Delicious food tours and set meals and an activity packed cruise ship in Halong Bay. A massive thanks to Elly and Asia Pioneer for an amazing Honeymoon. Family and friends are in awe of all we did whilst we were in Vietnam and Thailand. The only downside is I have got used to not having to organise my own holidays! Its going to make planning holidays so much harder now!Thank you again.
