Prior to arrival, it was the chimp trekking I was most excited for, but actually it's the complete package of the island experience and the break from safari fatigue it offers that makes this place so amazing. The staff, their service and attention to detail, the food, the beach chalets with their views across Lake Victoria, the variety of activities, and the sense of calm that this camp offers, truly makes it one of the most remarkable destinations I have ever encountered.
