I engaged Asilia Africa to plan a September 2026 East Africa migration safari on Dec. 7, 2025. Jessica introduced herself as my dedicated specialist. I provided detailed requirements for a 13-day luxury itinerary, specified preferred camps, and indicated a budget of approximately $20,000 to $25,000 per person.
From the outset, communication was slow because of the holiday season. Jessica requested a scheduled Zoom meeting with my travel companion and me, so we could move the planning forward. On Jan. 29, 2026, during the call, Jessica assured us that a customized itinerary would be sent the following day. It has now been 4 weeks, and we have received neither the promised itinerary nor any follow-up communication.

For a trip of this scale and price point, timely communication and follow-through are basic expectations. A luxury safari requires careful planning and trust in the operator. Unfortunately, this experience demonstrated a lack of responsiveness and reliability that would give any discerning traveller pause.

Prospective clients planning high-end travel may wish to carefully consider whether this level of service meets their expectations.

I just returned from a safari in Tanzania

I just returned from a10 day safari in Tanzania. It was amazing!!Asilia co. was great. The guides were perfect. The vehicles were sturdy and safe. Elissa was our first guide for 5 days in the Terengire. So knowledgeable, kind, and took great care of me. Especially when I was kinda ill one day. The guides in the Serengeti were great as well. Ibby and Toby. Toby was training and was doing a fabulous job. they all were attentive to our every need. Please try to reach out to them and let them know how much we enjoyed them. Elissa was my favorite!! The trip was wonderful and would love to return one day. Nancy Holland

Selous and Ruaha National Parks.

Selous and Ruaha National Parks. It was the most extraordinary experience we have ever had in our lives. We enjoyed both lodges very much; the staff took excellent care of us, and the guides provided us all the information and help we needed during the game drives. It is a great idea to combine both parks because they are very different and complement each other well. We loved the outdoor shower at Roho ya Selous. The infinity pool at Jabali Ridge was unbelievable. We saw the elephants from the balcony of the room just a couple of meters away. Thank you Asilia for such a memorable experience!

Asilia Usangu Camp - Unforgettable Adventure

Me and my wife stayed at Asilia's Usangu camp in Ruaha National Park, a few weeks back. Everything from our pick up by the guide to the final day at the camp was filled with adventures, great food, and attention to detail by the Asilia staff. Our guide was really knowledgable and took as around on daytime, nighttime, and walking safaris, each of them offered a new experience! We also did fly camping, which is essentially staying out in the wild in a tent called starcube, this offers stargazing straight from your bed. Other highlights were boat ride in a hippo and crocodile pool, brunches and dinners under an ancient baobab tree, it was unforgettable! This camp offers a very up close and intimate immersion with the environment and wildlife - without the crowds.

We went to Asilia camps in Ngorongoro…

We went to Asilia camps in Ngorongoro and Serengeti of Tanzania Oct 18 to Oct 31. All Tanzania employees and the camps were great. Safari guides were also outstanding.Since we paid quite a bit extra to go with Asilia, I expected expert planning. Most items discussed on the phone was not what we expected. The flights were poorly coordinated. The cost breakdown was so general to be unhelpful. Everyone in Tanzania was aware of potential unrest. But this never came up with my US travel guide.I would consider Asilia properties in the future thru an independent company. But I would get a clear cost breakdown, make sure to fully understand domestic and international flight coordination, and where all camps are located.

Asilia in Selous and Ruaha

We spent 7 days in two Asilia lodges in Selous and Ruaha National Parks, the service was top quality and as close and personal as it can be. Great in all senses.

Asilia Northern Tanzania

Bucket list, dream come true, life-changing...are all understating my experience! Thinking about this trip will forever bring joyful and thankful tears. I've had the privilege to visit Asilia's Sayari, The Highlands, and Oliver's camps. From the first moment I was in the exceptional hands of Asilia's care (airport arrivals), to the very last (and sad) goodbye wave, I was taken care of. Every welcome song, passionate, friendly and caring staff, always delicious meals, beautiful rooms and relaxing spaces, experienced and knowledgeable guides, breathtaking locations, every single detail, big and small, made this a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The one I will forever treasure and dream about returning to. Thank you, Asilia!

Asilia's incredible Jabali ridge Camp.

Asilia, Jabali Ridge Camp,If you are looking for that special place in Tanzania to escape to, then this is it.A veritable oasis in the bush, beautifully constructed amidst large boulders and Baobabs on a ridge, the camp is well laid out and offers an intimate experience, with only 8 suites. The generous suites are well spaced for privacy and offer the perfect place to relax, rest and enjoy a book whilst reclining in a hammock. In the mornings you are awakened either by the aroma of a freshly brewed coffee or the call of the wild. The lodge has a spa, with an incredible therapist, a pool literally perched on the edge of a raised deck, food that is delicious and fresh, safari guides that willingly share their insights and knowledge. All in all an experience that will have you planning your return. You arrive here as guests and leave as friends. Go! what are you waiting for.
