Filing claims is like pulling teeth. I was able to successfully file one claim a few years ago on a damaged laptop after days automatic denials. My most recent experience with claims was that a computer I sent in was denied at the repair depot for not having a visible serial number. The claims agent who helped me submit did not ask for this when I sent it in for repairs, not was I told it be an issue. When my claim was denied and my laptop was shipped back from the Depot it was marked as 'repaired' and so I was left expecting my device to be returned to me a week later. It showed up without repair and because I was not communicated with honestly about this I took no steps to prepare or purchase a replacement device in the week it took them to ship it back.
I am not looking at loss of income and job security because of this error, but was refunded my $150 copay.
Asurion's poor communication leaves customers out to dry at every step of the claims process, even if you are successful expect to be frustrated and I urge you to look at better, local repair options.
