Bought an asus strix laptop from staples in September of 2025. It is now April of 2026 and this laptop already has a dead pixel in the middle of the screen and trackpad issues. Asus customer service assured me many times over 2 separate conversations with them that the dead pixel is covered under the 1 year warranty included with the laptop. After spending days searching to buy an additional computer to be able to work while this one is sent in and repaired, i called them once more where they confirmed again that 1 dead pixel would qualify despite reading it is 3 to 5 required on reddit complaints from other disappointed customers. Then they called me back and said they were wrong after having flat out lied to me more times than I can keep track of. I escalated the case, they said they'd call me "tomorrow" and 4 days have passed since then. Nothing. I really do like the look of the asus products, but cannot stay a customer of a company that willfully and intentionally lies to, scams, and cheats their customers... not to mention the customers buying their "premium line computers" simply looking to get what was advertised and paid for. I would have maybe bought another brand new Asus while waiting for this warranty repair had you stood behind your product, but as the saying goes "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Even if you wanted to repair it now, how could I trust that process after this? Based on my experience, I suggest staying away from this company and looking into more reliable brands. I do not enjoy making this poor review and it is unfortunate this has had to escalate to this.
