I (18 y/o female) was quickly invited for a group interview (<1 day after just applying for multiple jobs) with the other invited candidates being fully grown men from failing sales careers/in a mid life crisis (all for a starting position that seemed aimed at students given the nature of the presentation). The interview took almost 3 hours which was draining considering by hour 1 I had realised this was too fishy to be investing any time into. The woman who coordinated the group interview explained how she "went to university and didn't see much point in her bioscience field but managed to progress into a rewarding career in marketing instead", without explaining much else. She also kept highlighting non-work activities such as bowling nights etc rather than details of the job itself. The actual job description was very vague with the only real description being "conversing with customers" and that there would be very long working hours which didn't seem as student friendly as they claimed. They further explained how you can progress from this position to managing your own team/set up your own branch within a few years which seemed like a glorified pyramid scheme. I was invited back after the results of group interview for a position but I ignored all calls/emails which were sent out the very same day. Situation felt very much like a trojan horse was being presented.
