I recently canceled my subscription, which I had taken out for my son, but he hardly used it. I was unaware that I was being charged £59.99 monthly due to a combination of factors, including my infrequent use of a certain card and not receiving statements. While I understand that the company’s payment practices are likely within their terms and conditions, I believe they should send monthly reminders, similar to other services I use. I requested a refund for half of the months since we last logged in, but their response was a polite refusal. My son hasn't utilized the service in over a year, leaving me with significant charges. I accept some responsibility, yet it feels like the company is profiting by not sending payment alerts until it becomes a legal requirement. I anticipate they will face many inquiries from inactive customers once the new regulations take effect. If they respond, there's no need to reiterate compliance with their terms—I’m already aware.
