Our wonderfl French chocolatier in Birmingham has retired so I had to find and alternative source for Easter eggs and ordered from Audrey's. A crashing disappointment: sickly sweet, fatty, though putatively dark chocolate. The seconf egg I gave away - reall awful vegelate. Never again!
The product is still very good however since the new owners acquired the business the new owners policy is that if you select to choose your own chocolate selection you are restricted to 3 of each chocolate therefore a box of 28 chocolates equates to an assortment of 6 almost £30 a box. I did write to the owners highlighting this was the reason we place our orders with Audrey’s as this was their USP and why we did not purchase from Fortnums I did receive a response unsatisfactory as we literally spend approximately £800 - £1000 per annum. Loyalty seems not to be valued by the new Owners. Perhaps reverting back to Fortnum & Mason is the resolve. Not once did the new owners show appreciation of the value of our orders or our loyalty shown. April on of the long term staff is the main reason we continue to purchase as she is absolutely loverly as so helpful. It seems Customers feedback is not valued nor considered.
Absolutely love Audrey’s chocolates. My husband has been buying Audrey’s chocolates for me for a number of years both at their store and through Florian’s of Hove another local business, a florists. They are outstanding in their quality both in their product and their customer service. My husband loves visiting and taking a step back in time in the beautiful interior and has always received exemplary service with as much help as needs and the chocolate selection that the staff have made for him has always been spot on. We both love this gem of a place and support local businesses all the way!
