We were told directly and clearly, on multiple occasions, that our au pair was cleared to travel with us on a cruise. We booked the trip in good faith, trusting the word of their representative.Only after making travel plans and incurring substantial costs did we find out that this information was incorrect. The agency has since refused to take any accountability, citing technicalities and fine print, and completely dismissing the fact that their own staff gave us verbal confirmation that influenced our decisions.This isn’t just about a mistake—it’s about the complete lack of responsibility and support when that mistake impacted our family’s time, money, and trust. What’s most concerning is the agency’s unwillingness to stand behind the advice their representatives give. If you’re a family considering this program, be warned: you must question everything, document every conversation, and know that even clear verbal confirmation from their staff means nothing if it goes wrong.This has been a painful and expensive lesson. It does not make sense because the sole reason for this platform is to match the aupair to the host families.Meanwhile my friends from Kenya are in the site and uploading documents for matching.
