A typically well-made USA product. It tends to come loose quite quickly in a keyless 1/2” chuck, so frequently check for tightness. If you do not have an electric drill with a side handle then you might get a nasty injury.I use a Makita BHP459 18v cordless drill. No side handle; one cannot be fitted. On the screw (clutched) setting it will stop even on the highest torque setting and in soil that is neither rock nor clay. The only way this auger will work (rotate) at all is if I use the drill (non-clutched) setting. Therein lies the danger. If the auger gets caught on plant roots it cause the drill to violently whip and hurt your wrist. Even in non-compacted compost the drill will whip. Holding the drill with two hands can still result in an injury. This is a dangerous tool to use.Consider your wrist strength before buying and using. The only issue that I have with Aussiegardener (the business) is that they will delete any slightly negative review of the power planter on their own website. They are critical of people posting product reviews on independent websites.
