I am compelled to share my deep frustration and disappointment with the support team, particularly the consultants who managed my case. I placed my trust in them regarding my future. I had a clear academic path — I hold a Bachelor’s in Education and had received approval from four major universities in Australia to pursue a Master by Research in Education. The only hurdle was that we were on a temporary visa with four months remaining before it expired. Instead of providing honest guidance or advising on the correct steps, they enrolled me in an MBA at a lower-tier institution that had no relevance to my academic background, research plans, or future aspirations. To make matters worse, they enrolled me in the October intake without notifying me — despite my explicit request to start my studies only after receiving my student visa. We only discovered this when the institution contacted us for the remaining fee. This created significant stress for our family: • We had to arrange immediate childcare for our young daughter • We were required to pay 75% of the tuition fees upfront • I was forced to attend classes against my will, merely to “maintain enrollment” • We had to travel overseas and wait • Ultimately, when they submitted the visa application, it was denied within a week The reason for the denial?
Exactly what we had warned them about: The case officer found no link between my Bachelor in Education and the MBA they enrolled me in. A simple, avoidable mistake. Instead of owning up to this, we were encouraged to pay additional fees to escalate the case for a Federal review. At this juncture, it became evident that their priority was not our future but rather extracting more fees. I am sharing this to help other families avoid our experience. If any agent claims they can “secure a student visa after your temporary visa expires,” please be cautious and scrutinize their advice closely. Our ordeal has resulted in financial strain, emotional turmoil, and disrupted years of academic planning that I had dedicated myself to.
