With the very first car I bought from them, a Mazda CX-3, I experienced that the vehicle arrived in a condition very different from what was presented in the listing. It was missing the heated seats, had an aftermarket armrest glued with sealant that had spilled over the entire center console and cup holder area, plus many other visual defects (rust, chipped paint, a ceiling stained with coffee, and an oil stain on the seat), as well as engine issues.
I picked up the car from the logistics center and noted all of these problems in the CMR. I also obtained a repair estimate from a service (€850). But they offered me a compensation of €500 and then closed the complaint. Their reasoning was that they would compensate only for the missing heated seats and the defect with the armrest, but not for the engine repair, as it’s an used car.
My main issue is that they hid all these things. There were only 6 photos showing damage, but different than the ones I mentioned above. As for the engine, there is a puffing sound while driving (specifically under acceleration), and you can also smell exhaust fumes inside the cabin coming from that injector, things that would be obvious during a test drive. However, in the listing they stated that the car had been test-driven and nothing was discovered.
A terrible experience. I would not recommend anyone to work with Auto1.
