This spring me and my girlfriend went to Italy and rented a car with Autovia through Autoeurope. When we sat on the airplane we were told we would be an hour late to the destination due to technical difficulties. I checked the voucher which in swedish read: "Om du blir försenad till upphämtningen, meddela detta till oss (så snart du kan) så att vi kan garantera att ditt fordon finnskvar när du kommer." This means If you are late to you pick-up, notify us immediately so that we can guarantee that your vehicle will be there when you arrive. First thing I do of course is I notify Autoeurpoe by calling but they say they can't help me and I have to call Autovia. So I call them and they say they can't help me either. Later in the support ticket they straight up lie and say I didn't call them in advance. I had to pay full price for a worse but more expensive SUV since my rental was no longer valid due to being half an hour late. Still haven't seen my 200 euros. "First class customer support" they say. Autovia is a scumbag company for employing this policy but Autoeurope is the one to blame for not even trying to help me. Me and my family will never rent through them again.
