i rented a vehicle from Autonom to tour Romania. The drop-off went very well but when I returned the car without incident and earlier, the clerk who picked it up pointed immediately to an almost invisible tiny crack on the black part of the windshield as if he already knew it was there. And although it hadn’t happened while it was in my possession, it is a simple and cheap fix to fill such a crack. Instead they refused to return the €150 deposit and also kept the €20 for the late return! Such dishonesty gives Romania the poor reputation it has and such companies should not be encouraged by hiring cars from them. There are tons of reputable companies to choose from, so forget small local fly-by-night joints like Autonom.
