After applying and submitting all necessary documents, I got an approval, but it was not the same as the initial offer. The new terms and rate were worse, effectively resetting my loan term after having paid for over a year and a half. I expressed that this wasn't acceptable and requested an alternative that at least matched my current monthly payment, even if the rate was less favorable. The following day, they canceled the initial offer and presented an even worse one, putting me back to my original position while resetting more than a year of payments to ZERO, along with an excessive $900 GAP. It feels like a betrayal to promote an approval offer in the app only to follow up with a significantly worse deal. The hardest blow was the hard inquiry they made, which weakened my position to apply elsewhere. A total disaster.
