I received a pre-approval letter saying they can save me $163 a month and get about a .75% rate reduction. Sure, the letter is not a guarantee but I have excellent credit, high income, and they already knew all the details of my existing loan and car. I went through their rather lengthy application and document request list. They pulled my credit even though the website said it would be pulled during the application process! Rather than be straight forward and upfront about the rate, they kept calling me and emailing me to provide them with additional information. Finally, I got to the end of the process and found out they would not be able to give me the rate listed in the letter and I was told they could only offer me a HIGHER rate than I currently have! The only reasoning was due to vehicle history and nothing changed with my vehicle between them sending the letter and me applying. I feel that their marketing practices are extremely deceptive and they never intended to give me the promised rate. Now they have all my information. These guys need to be investigated and shut down!!
