I started my course and then had to defer it for six months due to being pregnant and quite poorly. When I restarted my course, I was extremely anxious, as the workload had felt heavy before and I struggled with learning online. My course tutor was Mark Beacham and he has been the most amazing tutor I have had. He has a way of making you feel like you are in conversation with him, instead of someone at the end of a screen. He is informative and goes above and beyond to support and make time for you. He has been particularly helpful with clear explanations of not just how to do something but why it is important, as well as sharing own life experience over his working life with what things have worked well or not so well from his own experience in a management or people professional world. I would go as far to say, as if he hadn't been my tutor, I'm not sure I would have had the motivation to continue as course, in the midst of pregnancy, then a baby plus another child and then a full time career, in what is a high profile high stress job.
