I enrolled on a Level 4 Data Analytics Apprenticeship with Arch Apprentices in April 2019.After a forgettable experience with the training provider, in July 2020 I was made redundant from my employer and apprenticeship sponsor. My planned date for EPA was September 2020. It is now December 2021 and I have still not sat EPA.When I started a new job in February this year, Arch Apprentice's Finance and Audit team failed to send across a Commitment Statement upon my starting this new job. Roll on September 2021 (SIX months later), I still had no idea this document even existed, and was days away from being kicked off the scheme, more than a year after I was meant to finish it. This was entirely down to oversight on behalf of Arch Apprentices. It is nearly fifteen months since my original planned EPA date. That's almost the entire length of the course, again. I regret that I contributed to that delay in part. However, the fact that during a difficult time in which I lost my job, suffered with deteriorating mental health which saw me in and out of hospital, the lack of support I received from Arch was crushing. I'm primarily referring to my Learning and Development Coach, who would regularly go weeks without so much as checking in and failed to inform me, both of any cost of EPA to be placed on my new employer and of the requirement to take five days' holiday for my synoptic project (it was July 2021, more than five months after I began my new role that I was informed of this). Then, in November 2021 I attend my EPA interview, to which I forgot to bring photo ID. I've since been told that this ninety minute time slot costs over a thousand pounds to book with a freelance provider, and that my new employer must cough up £300 to cover it. This comes after the blatant neglect of my learning, and lack of regard for the outcome of my education. Finally, there is the refusal of any team member I have had contact with to take responsibility for the collective failings of the company, which leaves me now feeling like I've been grossly mistreated, and that you now want me out of the door as soon as possible - and at this point I'm more than willing to oblige.
