I had a terrible experience. I bought a rental package with a online operator (Booking), when I arrived at AVIS in Los Angeles, they charged me a lot for services and insurance that I hadn't requested. The same thing happened to a couple behind me. After we complained, they removed the insurances from the contract. But when I got home, surprise! They charged me for a category change of the vehicle that I hadn't requested! The contract is impossible to understand — it's impossible to know how much you are paying and how much is a deposit!
