Terrible customer service

I bought the super x metal series 15 in 1 trimmer from amazon. The product comes in 2 colour variations. I liked the gold/blue so went for that. The black/silver version is the same price and is named on the babyliss website as the 'super x metal series 15 in 1 trimmer' also so any reasonable person would think it's just the same trimmer in a different colour. The blue/gold came with a travel bag for it which is fine but the silver/black is pictured with a charging dock that would also hold the magnetic trimmer heads that come with it. This looks good in pictures and would look good in the bathroom. However, when the tray arrived from babyliss, I was left bemused since the usb charging cable that came with my trimmer didn't fit the charging port on the tray. I contacted babyliss and they said that although they look the same they have a different connection for charging. There is absolutely nothing on their product descriptions to say these are different or have a different connection type for charging. The spares and accessories page does not indicate they are not compatible in any way either. The customer service advisor just said 'there's nothing i can do, I'll pass on your feedback'. What a terrible customer experience. I won't be buying from them again.
