Barcelona Airport is completely dysfunctional. Two terminals and a train station with no links between them! Only several kilometres of bus journeys get you from one to the other! On arrival: two long queues for passport control - all e-gates closed, several booths closed. One queue was directed to about eight or nine booths, our queue was using three. When one of these was taken up with a problem passenger and the other two were given over to a large flight crew, we did not move. Each queue was roughly the same length - one flowing and constantly being refreshed, the other stationary - and none of the supposed attendants noticed or cared. Mitie should be ashamed. On departure from Terminal One: TWO bus journeys, one of several kilometres, from the train station. Then Zone D, Gate 03, with boarding "strictly in group order" - except we were all crowded into a bus together and driven for AGES around the airport. The first coach had mixed Group 1 (front of the aircraft) passengers and Group 3 (rear of the aircraft) passengers - but all were directed up the front steps (rear steps were in place - but no one bothered to point them out or direct the passengers). An absolute shambles from arrival to departure. I thought Addis Ababa domestic terminal was bad - but Barcelona is worse. At least in Addis they seem to have a clue as to what they're doing.
