My visit to this airport was quite unprofessional. At the currency exchange, they initially wanted to charge a 20% commission. When we expressed our discontent, the staff started negotiating like it was a market. Eventually, they asked us how much we were willing to pay. It felt more like a marketplace than an airport. Additionally, in a shop, the cashier charged me a different price than what was shown, claiming her prices were correct. This is misleading for customers. An international airport should reflect professionalism and transparency, which was clearly lacking here.
Consider submitting your complaints directly through the airport's website. I did just that after encountering an irate staff member. The arrival process was well organized, but the departure experience was frustrating. We arrived early, but only a few desks were open for bag drop. The self-service machines were out of order, leading to long waits. An upset staff member directed us to leave the queue, only for us to find out that we couldn't use the machines. This caused more confusion and delays. Overall, the management of the situation was quite unprofessional.
It would be helpful to have clear labels for 'Lounges' as there are no directions available. This is the first airport I've visited without clear signage for lounges. Improvements are necessary, moving away from unnecessary VIP concepts.
We had a pleasant experience flying in and out of this airport. The staff were friendly and there were plenty of shops and dining options. However, I deducted a star due to the long immigration queues, as there were only two officers on duty.
Despite claims of having more staff for neurodivergent passengers, the service I encountered was rude and unhelpful. The staff seemed indifferent to passengers' needs, particularly older travelers. While the terminal was clean and the café staff friendly, the security personnel appeared to think they were above the rest of us. Given the low ratings for this airport, it seems they are not addressing these issues.
After returning from a cruise, I found the signage to be quite poor. I was stopped multiple times during security checks due to a lanyard. Connecting to WiFi took ages, and when I tried to order coffee, the staff were unfamiliar with basic requests. The wait times to board were excessive, leading to a rushed and stressful ending to an otherwise great trip.
