I filled up the car upon return and then realised that the fuel gauge was not working properly. To double-check, I drove to another fuel station and attempted to add more fuel, but the car did not take any additional fuel, confirming that the tank was already full.
During the drop-off, I explained that the fuel gauge did not appear to be working correctly. However, about 30 minutes after I left, I received a phone call from Bargain advising that they intended to charge me $80. I explained again that I had filled the tank and even provided a screenshot of the fuel transaction as evidence.
I was very upset by this situation. Despite taking extra time to visit a second fuel station and clearly explaining the issue at drop-off, I still received a call blaming me for a faulty fuel gauge, which is something that should have been checked and maintained by the company beforehand.
