Nottingham branch - The aesthetics of the place are nice enough and the staff are friendly, but everything else was a big no for me. Advice for improvement - the lighting is unpleasant in your therapy rooms. The strong down lights are either on or off. You need some pleasant ambient lighting. The music was a disaster the playlist of gentle relaxation started and then banging club tunes which happened about three times until they got it sorted. Even when the relaxing music was sorted out it was impossible to relax as you could hear the constant thudding beat of the music playing in reception and the talking of staff. I think you need to address soundproofing or adjust your music and vibe to one of relaxation and tranquillity rather than a Friday night. Biggest gripe - long fake nails! Absolute no-no in massage and facials. Not just for the very obvious comfort of the client, but for a plethora of hygiene issues. Not ok. It felt like your therapists need a refresher in skills... The message was unpleasant and lacked flow and technique, the therapist didn't tell me what she was doing so the sudden cold scrub was a shock. That was also rough in handling. The facial was not good, with a constant scrape of acrylic nails and clearly avoided areas due to the nails getting in the way. The scalp massage was bizarre... I was seconds away from asking her to stop playing with my hair! A very strange approach of running her fingers through my hair.The tea and cake just felt like an afterthought, with rather old looking herbal tea options and pretty low quality cake. I would avoid the UHT squirty cream too. For some reason I seemed to be given a large serving spoon of some description to eat my cake. A few cake forks may be a useful addition to your kitchen! I'm afraid I won't be returning.
