Book online for our Nottingham City with a voucher emailed for my birthday

beauty treatment package for my birthday which was In January but couldn’t get a booking until 16.02.26
I arrived at city salon early at 2.40 my appointment was at 3.15,
They had a lot of teens in for P Louise party I was told to sit behind the nail bar my coat wasn’t taken from me
I was asked to go upstairs for my treatment just after 3.15
Where I was taken to a tiny room that only fitted a massage bed in it
the room wasn’t warm and welcoming the young lady that was doing the treatment was pleasant was trying to get the scalp camera to work for about 10mins then gave up as there wasn’t any WiFi coverage said she would try again at the end??
Great start to my birthday treat I didn’t say anything
Treatment started water was cold so I said the water is not warm at all,
Having been asked to slip top off and to pull bra straps down the room was cold after my hair was washed and conditioned was told that was the end of the treatment ? Wasn’t given a head massage as such ??
She asked if I enjoyed it and I replied it wasn’t what I had expected as I thought I had a facial and shoulder and neck massage too ?
She said you have had the 40 minute Japanese head spa ?
To which I replied no that wasn’t the treatment I’ve booked I was
given voucher for royal cloud nine voucher for my birthday
Showed her my voucher and the screenshot of the treatment list that is
No longer on the website (luckily I screenshot it)
Which I sent to my daughter for her to book it.
She said she to go downstairs to reception when she returned she said my apologies it was all my fault I didn’t realise ?
Find that hard to believe as each treatment is different times and surly you would check your schedule so you know what’s in store for you ? I don’t believe the receptionist booked the correct treatment for me,
Anyway I didn’t say anything. She them did a facial while my head was wet and cold ,
She didn’t do neck or shoulder massage just creamed arms and did a 2 minute hand massage
Im not being rude about the young lady it wasn’t the treatment I’ve booked or what I was expecting what so ever was all too rushed and actually spoilt my birthday treat
When We went down for a hair dry after being freezing cold for the duration of the said treatment
I was offered a hot drink which I hugged as was so cold tbh the young lady was during my hair with rounded brush
To which another girl said to her it is supposed to be a rough dry ?
Felt sorry for the girl doing my hair she went bright red in the face I felt she was trying to recover my terrible experience and wrong treatment,

It wasn’t a very nice experience what’s so ever total disappointing birthday gift and will not be returning to beauty temple again
Before I left I went to the toilet before i left there was empty rolls on floor bin over flowing open no hand towels to dry your hands on
Toilet’s should be checked hourly not left in a state the salon appears to have gone downhill since I last came for a treatment
Lack of customer service
Lack of knowledge to what treatments clients have booked in for and lack friendliness to your own staff members.
I will not be recommending the salon
It wasn’t an experience I would want to think about again,

The staff were lovely

The staff were lovely, and looked after me very well. I was offered a drink, which I had whilst having my nails done. I had the basic treatment, called a 'naked manicure', which included filing, half moons, soaking in tepid water with micrograins, cuticles massaged with oil, and finished off with a hand massage with hand cream. The manicurist was easy to chat to, and I passed a very pleasant half hour there.

Shameful...not sure how you are still in business?

I had a lash lift at Nottingham city that was over processed and my lashes went squiggly, the second one didn't lift or tint, so I went to West Bridgford and had the same result. I have been trying to book for a pedicure, no more lash lifts here for me!! I have telephoned four times and left four messages, but nobody bothers to call me back. Disgusting customer service, I shall definitely be going elsewhere from now on...

On the surface this place looks…

On the surface this place looks fantastic and very different to other beauty salons, Each time I go I walk out saying never again, today I visited for the last time. I booked gel nails and toes for my daughter, mini facial and a back massage for me. Spending over £150 - they use cheap non branded products, the place is now looking so tired and dirty - the carpet is black from dirt with the original colour to the edge. After 30 minutes of leaving my daughter’s gel nails had come off! She later told me that her nail technician told her she had learnt how to do nails by watching a few you tube videos - seriously?! It just feels like this is a pure profit driven business and not a luxury service that they are trying to portray.

I will try to be as honest as I can

I will try to be as honest as I can. I booked an Indulge yourself in this ancient thermal massage experience. Muscle tension will melt away from your entire body as your therapist provides a blissful, deep tissue massage using skin-enriching oils and heated stones to create a unique and luxurious massage. £60 for 25 mins.I explained I had a lot of neck and shoulder tension. I have to say 80% of the deep tissue massage was like up and down the back with oils, very little if any deep tissue massage, practically zero shoulder and neck massage. So all in all if feel ripped off of £60 hard earned wages on something that didn't do what it offered on the description. The therapist isn't as well versed in this treatment as it requires. Sorry Beauty Temple, I'm not happy, nor relaxed and probably more tense than when I arrived. Not all therapists are good at everything and that needs to be considered.

No customer service

I had an appointment at one, I was still sitting waiting at ten past one, she was working on somebody else, she popped her head around the curtain, no apologies, just looked at me then went back to her other customer. I left, I think she needs a lesson on how to run a business

Disappointing Japanese spa

Visited beauty temple Castle Donnington several times and was a customer at Owl House previously today’s Japanese Head spa wasn’t great and I’ll not be returning. Firstly when I phoned to check the appt time I was told I wasn’t booked in despite me previously booking and paying a deposit. It appears the staff member booked it under a different name that person got an email and phoned the salon to say they’ve not booked anything so it was just cancelled. She added me back in for this morning. Therapist was clumsy and the head cover that was used during fell on me due to not being secured correctly The treatment was loud water was intermittent in temperature and not that relaxing, there’s splashback from the water that’s being applied to the hair and I wasn’t offered a towel to dry my neck, shoulders, face and upper body after. Didn’t feel comfortable also shampoo was going in my ears which isn’t pleasant not worth the price and blow dry after which I didn’t pay for luckily was awful. Not impressed. Will avoid in future.

BEAUTY TEMPLE LET ME DOWN BIG TIME!!!

After Beauty Temple being recommended to me I booked a first appointment on 12 June 2025 for a wash cut and blow dry and also explained that I would like my hair and make up done on 6 September 2025 for my son’s wedding. This was booked before my first appointment. Once my hair had been cut etc I made a further appointment, just for a further trim on 24 July 2025 in readiness for my styling etc for 6 September. On the morning of 24 July I received a call from Beauty Temple saying there’s was a problem with my appointment on 6 September as a bridal party was booking in on the same day and would it be possible to change my appointment time to 8.30 am on the morning of my son’s wedding. I had to say no for two reasons the first is that I have to take my grand-daughter to the bride’s house for her hair to be done then pick her up afterwards which has been worked in around my appointment time and secondly I am suffering with excessive sweating at the moment which if my hair and make up was to be done so early there would be nothing left of it by 2pm. I explained this to them and they said that all would be ok. On arriving for my appointment on that same day I walked into the salon to overhear 3/4 staff talking about me and the fact that I couldn’t accommodate the change. What was said before I do not know but I was under the distinct impression that they were not happy that I would not change my appointment time. They then realised I was actually sat waiting for my appointment. A few days after being reassured that all was good for my appointment, I received a voicemail from Beauty Temple telling me that they were cancelling my appointment completely. I returned the call and when I asked why when this had already been discussed and sorted I was given excuse after excuse but I know that it was because they had ‘a better offer’ with the bridal party. The person I spoke to then offered to come in on her day off (6 September) purposely to do my hair and make up. I declined. After all the messing me about they did, did they honestly think I would book again only to be potentially let down at the 11th hour. No way!!! I requested my deposit back to firstly be told that it is not salon policy to return deposits (???) they did finally agree to do this and proceeded to take a further amount of money OUT OF my account. This money finally returned to my bank account ONE WEEK LATER. Beauty Temple lost 3 clients that day and no doubt many more if this is the way they treat their customers. Disgusting.

I booked over the phone for an…lash lift and brow wax and tint

I booked over the phone for an appointment at West Bridgford, only realised on checking my email the night before that they had booked me into city centre branch. This wasn’t my choice of salon. Reception do not make it clear that the phone line gets transferred to city centre at times and reception do not ask which salon you wish to book with either. I attended city centre salon this morning. Prompt treatment for brow wax and tint but then had to wait another 40 mins to get my lash lift done. All treatments were good but had to tweezer some hairs on one brow at home. No after care advice provided with lash lift however. Not the best experience at a pricy salon. 10am appointment took ages in the end.
