I've been with Best invest for over 10 years and initially I found customer service to be very helpful. So helpful that they would even add shares I was interested in on to their portfolio. Sadly the service has deteriorated over the years and has gone down even further since the takeover. I would say for a new investor they still provide excellent education services. However, the cost of an ISA and a SIPP in monthly costs has become unsustainable for me and I'm moving my investments and those of my partners to Interactive Investor saving me £180 per month.
