In May 2022, I noticed that a retailer was selling inflatable canoes at £65 each, while the same kayaks were over £100 elsewhere. I bought two for my grandchildren's visit in August but foolishly left them sealed for storage. When I finally unpacked them, one wouldn’t inflate due to missing parts, and the other inflated unevenly. In the water, it was evident that the side tubes were poorly glued, making it dangerous. Customer service was helpful, but the manufacturer claimed no faults and wanted me to pay for repairs. I've learned to unpack and test purchases immediately and to avoid cheaply made products sold by foreign companies. I'm now £130 out of pocket with two unusable kayaks.
