What a shock at the café! Given the company's reputation for training in hospitality, our experience was jarring. We felt unwelcome and unassisted. Entering through the shop, we were told we couldn’t access the café from there, despite being next to the tables. We had to go outside in the rain, walk around to find another entrance that required staff assistance. Just as we were about to leave, a staff member opened the door. We allowed another couple to be seated first, happy to wait. After being shown to our table, given menus, and informed about specials, we awaited our order. Two adjacent tables were cleaned and re-seated while we continued to wait. A waitress asked the last seated couple if they had decided, but they hadn’t. She then went to the next table with the same inquiry. We were still left waiting with no drinks or meals. Feeling this was a poor experience, we chose to leave. The couple we let go ahead were already enjoying their hot meals. It was a disorganized experience, especially with so many staff present. Very poor management.
